Saints Giant Killers

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair women’s volleyball team improved their OCAA record to 12-4 on the season with a huge win over the Fanshawe Falcons Thursday night at the Sportsplex. The Saints took down the Falcons by a score of 3-0.

Game scores for St Clair were 25-21, 25-18, and 25-22.

Te-Anna Stephenson led the way offensively with 12 kills, 2 stuff blocks, 1 service ace, and 8 digs. Jessica Masse also had a solid match with 6 kills on 14 attempts, along with 1 stuff block, 1 service ace, and 1 dig.

Libero Julie Ann Milling had a great defensive match with 14 digs.

The Saints are currently ranked 3rd in Ontario and 15th in Canada. The loss dropped Fanshawe’s record to 12-3. The Falcons were ranked 2nd in the OCAA and in 12th in Canada heading into the match.

The women are next in action on February 10 when they host the Mohawk Mountaineers at the Sportsplex at 6pm.
