(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Warlocks are set to begin their 2018 lacrosse season this Saturday as a number of age groups are lined up to take to the floor in a day-long festival of athleticism. Hosting their closest rivals, the Wallaceburg Griffins, Forest Glade Arena will be loaded with tense and exciting lacrosse from 9am through to 3pm.
Both sides of the arena will see action when players as young as five and as old as 20 face off.
“I know the coaches and players are excited to get some games going,” said Warlocks’ president Jerry Kavanaugh. “After a month of tryouts and practices, the kids are ready to go.”
When all is said, the Warlocks will compete in 10 games in an action-packed Saturday.
“Having Wallaceburg in on opening weekend is a good way to get the season started,” Kavanaugh said. “The rivalry makes the games competitive and brings the best out of both teams.”
It will be a busy weekend for the Warlocks as the next day many of the same teams will travel north to play double-headers in Sarnia. In action will be the Tykes, Novices, Peewees, and Bantams, and they will be joined by the Midgets, who started their year on April 28 with a pair of big wins in Wallaceburg.

- Novices – 10am and 1pm
- Bantams – 11am and 2pm
- Tykes – 9am and 12noon
