Windsor Warlocks Promote Mental Health Awareness

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Warlocks minor lacrosse association, in partnership with OLA Zone 7 Lacrosse, are gathering this evening and tomorrow to raise awareness of mental health.

A joint initiative with their governing body, the Warlocks are meeting at Forest Glade Arena, between 5:30pm and 8pm with representatives from Maryville Adolescent and Family Services, Children’s Aid Society, and the Regional Children’s Centre, to push knowledge and conversation to dispel the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Zone 7 Lacrosse’s campaign, Stick It To Stigma, is a league-wide initiative with the other clubs in the region, including the Wallaceburg Red Devils, Sarnia Pacers, and London Blue Devils, to spread the word about the effect of mental illness.

The Warlocks will be providing face painting, Free Awareness arm bands to all players, and hosting a poster competition.
